Mar 16, 2010 - acting with kamal is a big honour but i think asin wasn't properly utilised in Dasavadharam. she is capable of more. i agree with you that anushka should be the one receiving the best debutant awards instead of asin. even if asin was a real debutant in the hindi 'Ghajini' i still would have said that anushka deserved the BD award wholeheartedly.sorry if i seem like i'm bashing asin but until she breaks the stereotype she is typecast in, my opinion of her being an average actress stands.

Mar 16, 2010 - exactly. asin didn't have any scope to showcase her acting in Ghajini like in almost every single south indian film she's done. asin might be a good actress but she hasn't given any indication that she is one. one thing i dislike about asin is how she always plays the stereotypical bubbly pretty girl in all her films. where is the variety in that?anushka showcased a wide range of emotion in 1 film itself while asin has yet to do so in any of her films.

Mar 16, 2010 - i agree to you dear... but plz don't say asin is just average, because there was hardly any scope for her to showcase her acting in ghajini, as anuska has in RNBDJ... i think both are so charming... but, anuska should have got all the best debut awards like filmfare, star, zee, stardust and iifa which were all bagged by asin, coz the former is genuinely a debutant while the later had faced the camera a number of times in south with the likes of kamal even !!

Mar 16, 2010 - anushka is the best out of all the new faces of 2008. she just has this charm about her plus anushka is an above average actress. she's was great in RNBDJ.i see how people are comparing anushka with asin. don't. i'm a south indian, tamil to be exact & i've watched enough films with asin to say that she is just an average actress. Ghajini might have broken Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi's B.O records but anuskha shines more than asin, at least to me. :)
