Mar 18, 2010 - Nietzsche was NOT a nihilist, he just warned of coming nihilism.

chaoticfutility Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - Um, Nietzsche said Socrates was the wisest man to walk the earth. What did you, listen to like, 5 seconds of it? Seriously, Nietzsche was profound as fuck

levanyzzuf Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - I believe it is one of the things he actually requested from his prosecutors when on trial...

scientificboysclub Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - if you ask me he would reply .."I shell not take free food..."

scratchneck Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - @infokemp Oh, he did? You had a chat with him while he was still alive or you read that from some "reliable" book? Yeah, I thought so too...

infokemp Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - Socrates had a great sense of humor though he did not intend it. Yes I am not the wisest man Oh it must be a riddle. lol brilliant!

Pmtmr Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - I've read several of his things levanyzzuf and about how he went completely nuts in the end. Of course I think he always was completely nuts! His attitude that everything was pointless and useless is enough to drive anyone nuts or to suicide if you take it seriously.

levanyzzuf Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - Socrates should have been given free dinner for life.

levanyzzuf Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - Tell me, what works of Nietzsche have you read?

xxSeaTownTrout Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - yeah i agree on that thanks

ParrhesiaJoe Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - A few people wrote about him. Plato wrote the most. Plato was pretty famous, and wrote a LOT. It's hard to believe he could make up a trial as famous as that of Socrates. There would have just been too many people that would call bullshit.Plus, the details of the trial are too specific, including names of others and details about relationships that would be easy to falsify if untrue. If it a tale, it is a grand one. It's probably my favorite story, ever... Apologia...

Pmtmr Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - Nietzsche was ripping on Socrates??? Nietzsche was a pile of shit and that's putting it mildly! Socrates had more wisdom in his little finger then Nietzsche could ever hope to have in his whole body! The more one listens to Nietzsche the more ignorant and confused one becomes!

mausalvo Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - Master Socrates was murdered because he forced people to ask, "Why?" v_v

ShaNagmaImmuru Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - no dude,he spoke mongolian! and some chineese.

ShaNagmaImmuru Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - You shouldn't be so dogmatic my friend. Science in deed based on philosophy. when you prove a philosophical argument it stops being philosophy and becomes science. But, other than that, paradox by definition is a phenomenon that contradicts what we think that is normal or true. therefore a fallacy. while dilemma means ambivalence. So,the other half of your comment doesnt make much sence.

xxSeaTownTrout Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - he could have been made up? didn't many people write about him not just plato

Mar 18, 2010 - Why do you pervert all foreign names in english?! Especially those in latin and ancient greek. It sounds ridiculous.

bananabread119 Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - @YiannisThiakos First of all seriously not answering comments I wrote like a mnth ago! 2ndly you know nothing of philosophy! You think philosophy can't be proven like science can. Science depends on philosophy to prove things. Try studying epistemology! Which is the study of TRUTH itself! Paradoxes not exist they are simply false dilemma's! A fallacy!Again Go wikipedia it!

YiannisThiakos Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - But science started as philosophy. My idea is that philosphy is just something you cannot proove yet, cause of lack of equipement or prooved knowledge. They tried to understand the world through logic and logical arguments. Some time paradoxes were concluded, becasue even today in science paradoxes exist.

YiannisThiakos Says:

Mar 18, 2010 - Please carefull your words about greek people. Your grand grand mother or grand grand father was most probably a greek Rum or a greek Yenitsar. ok? Suering greeks is like denying your familly tree. So be it...
